Elon Musk said the time has come for former President Donald Trump to “hang up his hat” and “sail into the sunset.”
The Tesla CEO, who is moving to back out of a Twitter takeover, tweeted about Trump days after the former president took aim at Musk following the revelation that he was moving to back out of a deal to acquire Twitter.
TRUMP CALLS ELON MUSK A ‘BULLS*** ARTIST’
“I don’t hate the man, but it’s time for Trump to hang up his hat & sail into the sunset,” Musk tweeted Monday night. “Dems should also call off the attack — don’t make it so that Trump’s only way to survive is to regain the Presidency.”

During that appearance, Trump claimed Musk had told him he voted for him after the Tesla CEO recently said he voted for his first Republican candidate. Musk said on Monday that this was “not true.” Trump also touted his Truth Social platform and noted that he had predicted Musk would not follow through on his bid to take over Twitter. Trump was banned from Twitter shortly after the Capitol riot.
In a Securities and Exchange Commission filing, Musk gave notice Friday that he is seeking to terminate his $44 billion deal to acquire Twitter, accusing the social media platform of misrepresenting the number of spam bots on its platform. Twitter says it will pursue legal action to enforce the merger agreement.
Asked to expound on his reasoning for ragging on Trump, Musk cited “drama” and Trump’s age.
Yeah, but too much drama. Do we really want a bull in a china shop situation every single day!?
Also, I think the legal maximum age for start of Presidential term should be 69.

Trump would be 82 at end of term, which is too old to be chief executive of anything, let alone the United States of America.
If DeSantis runs against Biden in 2024, then DeSantis will easily win – he doesn’t even need to campaign.

Musk recently said he was leaning toward supporting Ron DeSantis should the Florida GOP governor decide to run in the 2024 presidential election.
Musk said on Monday that DeSantis would “easily” beat President Joe Biden in 2024 if Biden runs for reelection as he has stated he plans to do. “If DeSantis runs against Biden in 2024, then DeSantis will easily win – he doesn’t even need to campaign,” Musk said.
