House Committee on Oversight and Accountability Chairman James Comer (R-KY) sent a subpoena to a Biden family business associate Monday urging him to appear before the committee Friday.
The subpoena was sent to Devon Archer, a major player in Biden family business dealings in China, Russia, and Ukraine, according to a release announcing the subpoena.

The release said Archer was also President Joe Biden’s son “Hunter Biden’s business partner in several transactions involving foreign nationals and foreign companies.”
The news of the subpoena comes as the Oversight Committee continues to look into alleged misdoings by the Biden family around the world. Last week, the FBI agreed after weeks of refusal to provide an FD-1023 form to the committee. The form contained allegations of a “criminal bribery scheme” by Biden.
After viewing the document on Thursday, Republican members of the oversight committee said the alleged bribery scheme was tied to payments from the Ukrainian energy company Burisma.
Comer had threatened to hold FBI Director Christopher Wray in contempt of Congress before Wray agreed to review the document with the committee.
The investigation in Congress is not without controversy, and Comer and ranking Democrat on the committee Jamie Raskin (D-MD) recently came away from an FBI briefing with markedly different conclusions.

Raskin said he was convinced that the briefing had negated the need for further investigation into wrongdoing by the president, and Comer said, “Given the severity and complexity of the allegations contained within this record, Congress must investigate further.”
Biden has denied the allegations, calling the idea that he engaged in criminal wrongdoing “a bunch of malarkey.”
