A suspicious package with white powder and a note threatening Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg was delivered to the Manhattan DA’s building on Friday, according to New York police.
The package was delivered to the mail room of the office building and included a note. It read, “Alvin, I’ll kill you,” a law enforcement official confirmed to Fox News. The powder was declared “nonhazardous” on the scene, and no evacuation has been ordered.

“We do not tolerate attempts to intimidate our office or threaten the rule of law in New York,” Bragg said in an email to employees over the weekend.
“Our law enforcement partners will ensure that any specific or credible threats against the office will be fully investigated and that the proper safeguards are in place so all 1,600 of us have a secure work environment.”
The package comes as Bragg investigates former President Donald Trump and considers the possibility of an indictment against him related to alleged hush money payments to porn star Stormy Daniels in 2016. A grand jury that has been hearing the prosecution’s case normally meets in the complex, but it does not meet on Fridays.
The grand jury was expected to vote on Trump’s indictment this week after hearing from at least one more witness on Wednesday, but the proceedings were canceled, and the jury focused on other cases.

Trump posted on Truth Social last week, saying that leaks from the district attorney’s office indicated he would be arrested this past Tuesday. He encouraged his supporters to protest the indictment. However, when the indictment failed to appear, Bragg claimed Trump “created a false expectation” that he would be arrested.
The former president has not been notified on whether Bragg actually intends to bring charges against him, according to multiple news reports.
