Shut It Down For Palestine is a group that champions protest actions in favor of a free Palestinian state. CBS reported the group was involved in the protest Sunday.
“We must keep building momentum and increase the pressure with more marches, walk-outs, sit-ins, and other forms of direct action directed at the political offices, businesses, and workplaces that fund, invest, and collaborate with Israeli genocide and occupation,” the group said on its website.
The website also seemed to present “an international call to action” for Palestinians on New Year’s Eve.
