MSNBC host Jen Psaki dedicated a segment of her show Sunday to recapping Donald Trump’s legal cases with a smile.

Psaki praised the DOJ for its work noting that “the justice system is always working” despite the fact that “we can’t necessarily see it,” citing the additional charges brought against Trump earlier this week. The Department of Justice issued new federal charges on Thursday in a case alleging Trump mishandled classified documents, adding charges regarding his alleged destruction of security footage at his Mar-a-Lago home, bringing the total number of charges in the indictment to 40.

The host, formerly of the Joe Biden White House Press team, gave a synopsis of the latest updates to Trump’s indictments with a cheery tone, flashing a smile in between headlines. At one point, she gloated that according to one report, the campaign has spent an approximate $40 million in legal fees.

“Even when it might not feel like it, or we can’t necessarily see it, the justice system is always working,” Psaki said on Inside with Jen Psaki. “However slowly it might seem sometimes — and there are many times it feels slow — the wheels of justice are constantly turning to hold people accountable.”

Psaki went as far to say that some of the updates “sound very mob-like to me.” The former White House Press Secretary has had her own Sunday show since March of this year, only weeks before the initial indictments were brought against Trump.

However, it appears the legal cases have only bolstered Trump’s campaign. Before Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg indicted Trump over 34 counts of falsifying business records, there were 15 points standing between Gov. Ron DeSantis (R-FL) and Trump. However, since the indictment was brought down in April, Trump’s lead has jumped to 30 points and remained there.

Trump is next due in court in May of next year.
