The Metropolitan Police Department did not have any victims confirmed when asked by the Washington Examiner but did confirm a report of “an armed carjacking” coming in “at approximately 9:32 pm at the intersection of New Jersey and K Street” in Southeast Washington.
A subsequent alert from the police department said the vehicle was a white Honda C-HR with a Texas license plate. The suspects are “three black males wearing all black clothing.” Authorities advise calling 911 rather than engaging with the suspects if spotted.

The carjacking is the latest criminal incident involving a lawmaker in the district. In February, Rep. Angie Craig (D-MN) was physically assaulted inside an elevator as she was leaving her apartment building in the nation’s capital.
