Roseanne Barr is making her comeback with a one-hour comedy special on Fox Nation.
“Roseanne is a comedy icon whose humor connects with the American audience like no other,” Fox Nation President Jason Klarman said in the announcement. “Her ability to channel the challenges of everyday people and find the humor in it all has earned her the passionate following of millions of dedicated fans. We are thrilled to add her comedy special exclusively to the FOX Nation catalog.”
Barr will cover several topics in the special, and “no subject [is] off limits,” according to a press release. She is also a producer for the special.

A Roseanne Comedy Special will be released in the first quarter of 2023, marking the comedian’s first stand-up special in 16 years.
In 2018, Barr’s sitcom, Roseanne, was canceled after a tweet she wrote mocking former Obama adviser Valerie Jarrett.
“Muslim brotherhood & planet of the apes had a baby=vj,” she had written. Barr was called out for the tweet, which many criticized as racist.

Ultimately, ABC canceled the program. “Roseanne’s Twitter statement is abhorrent, repugnant and inconsistent with our values, and we have decided to cancel her show,” the president of ABC entertainment said at the time.
