Media mogul Rupert Murdoch and model Jerry Hall are getting a divorce, according to a new report.
The split between the chairman and CEO of News Corp and his wife was surprising to some, given how happy they were early in their marriage, two anonymous sources with knowledge of the situation told the New York Times.
“No more tweets for ten days or ever! Feel like the luckiest AND happiest man in world,” Murdoch tweeted the day he married Hall in March 2016.

Murdoch’s News Corp controls notable news outlets such as the Fox News Channel, the Wall Street Journal, and the Sun, among other assets. The divorce is unlikely to affect Murdoch’s stake in his companies, per the report.
Murdoch, who had three divorces prior to this marriage, and Hall married in a ceremony in London in March 2016. His previous wives were Australian model Patricia Booker, journalist Anna Mann, and Wendi Deng.

Hall, a model and actress, was previously married to Mick Jagger before the marriage was annulled in 1999.
