After a duck was spotted anxiously wandering and quacking near a sewer grate on Wednesday, U.S. Capitol workers successfully located and rescued her ducklings.
“There’s a duck that seems somewhat distressed on the East Front of the Capitol. It wouldn’t stop quacking near a sewer grate, but I couldn’t hear any ducklings below or anything,” Twitter user Amelia Frappolli posted.

Capitol workers then used a pole and net to scoop up the ducklings, placing them in a bucket as they finished the rescue mission.
Once the nine ducklings were retrieved, one worker suggested the workers would contact a D.C. wildlife association in order to “put them in a foster home.”
