Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-GA) sat for an “intense and in-your-face” interview with CBS’s 60 Minutes which will air this Sunday.

The flagship news program teased the controversial Georgia lawmaker’s sit-down in a tweet on Friday afternoon, which Greene shared alongside some kind words for veteran journalist Lesley Stahl, who conducted the interview. Greene praised Stahl as “legendary” and a “trailblazer for women in journalism.

TRUMP INDICTED: MARJORIE TAYLOR GREENE SAYS SHE’LL BE IN NEW YORK TO PROTEST

“And while we may disagree on some issues, I respect her greatly,” Greene wrote of Stahl on social media.

The CBS program’s tweet promoting the segment read: “Georgia Republican Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene, nicknamed MTG, isn’t afraid to share her opinions, no matter how intense and in-your-face they are. She sits down with this Sunday on 60 Minutes.”

The news program also tweeted out a 10 second clip of Stahl asking Greene why she agreed to take part in this interview, though it did not feature the lawmaker’s response.

As the short video ended, Stahl could be seen looking surprised, possibly at something the Georgia congresswoman had said, and remarking, “Wow.”

Many on social media did not take the announcement of Greene’s interview well, with some arguing the congresswoman should not be given such a large microphone to spread her message. Former Rep. Adam Kinzinger (R-IL), a frequent critic his ex-colleague, claimed it was “insane” that the show would interview Greene.

The announcement of the interview comes days after Greene announced she would travel to New York to protest the indictment of former President Donald Trump on Tuesday. Greene has called on others to join her, urging supporters to “protest the unconstitutional WITCH HUNT!”

Trump’s lawyers said Friday that he is “likely” to turn himself in to New York law enforcement officials on Tuesday afternoon. The indictment marks the first time a former U.S. president has been criminally charged.
