Actor Lou Ferrigno has a new gig.

He’s been named an honorary police officer in Syracuse, New York.

The “Hulk,” as he is best known, took part in a swearing-in ceremony and then spent time talking with and thanking officers, according to a social media post from the department.

“I want to reassure them that they’re doing the right thing. They have my support,” he said.

The former Mr. America and Mr. Universe bodybuilding champion spent five years starring in The Incredible Hulk in the late 1970s and early 1980s.

Ferrigno, 70, is currently in Syracuse filming a horror movie called The Hermit.

He is also a reserve sheriff’s deputy in his home state of California and spent 17 years as a deputy.
