Several people are reportedly dead after two military helicopters crashed in Kentucky Wednesday night.
The crash happened at about 9:30 p.m., according to WKDZ Radio. The helicopters were military rotorcraft from Fort Campbell.

The exact number of deaths has not been confirmed by authorities, but an unconfirmed report stated nine people were killed in the collision.
The crash happened between Bobby Light Road and Lancaster Road in Trigg County, per the aforementioned local news station. That county is located just west of Fort Campbell in western Kentucky and is home to about 14,000 people.
Authorities arrived at the crash site about an hour after the crash was reported. Their investigation has only just begun.

Gov. Andy Beshear (D-KY) confirmed the news about two hours after the crash.
“We’ve got some tough news out of Fort Campbell, with early reports of a helicopter crash and fatalities are expected. @kystatepolice, @KentuckyEM, and local officials are responding. We will share more information as available. Please pray for all those affected,” Beshear tweeted.
