The lone surviving son of accused killer and cult leader Lori Vallow has been charged with sexual assault in Arizona.
Colby Ryan was arrested in Mesa on Saturday after he was accused of sexual assault by his estranged wife, according to court documents obtained by AZ Family.

Ryan came to the woman’s home, where the pair watched television and kissed, the court documents say. Ryan suggested doing more, but the woman pushed back on his advances, according to the filing. He then raped the woman and confessed to doing so the next morning, the documents add.
Ryan was then arrested by police after the woman sent a recording of Ryan admitting to the incident, and he then confessed to police, according to the documents.
He is being held in Maricopa County jail and has been charged with two counts of sexual assault.

Vallow will soon be standing trial for charges of murdering two of her children. She was arrested in 2020, and her trial is set for January 2023.
