Tesla’s “full self-driving” mode is at the center of blame for a San Francisco car crash that left at least nine people injured.
The incident occurred on Nov. 24 mere hours after Elon Musk announced that “full self-driving” would be available to all Tesla customers in North America, according to a report.

The driver at the heart of an eight-car collision says “full self-driving” mode is responsible for the accident.
The driver was in a Tesla Model S as it drove in fast traffic when it changed lanes and abruptly braked, setting the collision in motion, the California Highway Patrol reported.
Whether or not the car was in full self-driving mode at the time of the accident has not been confirmed.

The U.S. National Highway Traffic Safety Administration is currently investigating numerous reports of “phantom braking.”
