Former President Donald Trump reposted an article to his Truth Social page on Friday claiming that women “love and miss” having him in office, further amplifying speculation about a possible third White House bid.
Trump reposted an article from the DC Enquirer with the headline “New Poll Shows Women LOVE & MISS Trump, Are Abandoning Dems In Double-Digit Landslide,” citing a recent poll from the Wall Street Journal that showed white suburban women leaning more toward Republicans in the midterm cycle. The poll showed the crucial voting bloc favors Republican candidates for Congress over Democrats by 15 percentage points, marking a huge shift just days ahead of Election Day.
MIDTERMS 2022 LIVE: UPDATES FROM THE CAMPAIGN TRAIL AHEAD OF CRUCIAL ELECTION
Trump’s post comes just hours after it was reported he and his political team plan to announce his 2024 bid less than one week after Election Day, possibly following the announcement with a multiday series of political events, sources told Axios. The former president has yet to state explicitly whether he’d seek a second reelection bid, but he repeatedly hinted at the prospect in political rallies and campaign events.
“In order to make our country successful and safe and glorious, I will very, very, very probably do it again,” Trump said during a Thursday rally in Iowa. “Get ready, that’s all I’m telling you — very soon. Get ready.”
The planned announcement on Nov. 14 would indicate Trump is seeking to ride on the Republicans’ momentum of predicted congressional wins, with the party expected to win the House majority and possibly the Senate. Political strategists have long predicted Trump would announce a presidential bid sooner rather than later, hoping to get ahead of similar ambitions by some of his possible rivals, such as Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis.

Trump won 53% support from white women in the 2020 presidential election compared to just 46% for President Joe Biden, according to the Pew Research Center. Those numbers show an improvement from Trump’s performance in 2016 against Hillary Clinton, as when he won, only 47% supported him.
However, women overall favored Biden in 2020, garnering 54% of female votes compared to Trump’s 39%.
