Former President Donald Trump is set to attend the Palmetto Bowl between Clemson University and the University of South Carolina at 7:30 p.m. on Saturday.
Trump’s appearance at the important intrastate rivalry game was confirmed by his campaign, according to a report.

The Palmetto Bowl dates back to the first meeting between Clemson and South Carolina in 1896.
“Before the COVID-19 pandemic in 2020, the Palmetto Bowl was the longest continuous non-conference rivalry in the nation, the second longest continuous rivalry in Division I college football, and the longest uninterrupted rivalry series in the south,” according to the game’s website.

Trump has been no stranger to college football games this season, appearing at the University of Iowa-Iowa State University contest in September, the report noted.
The 45th president is rooting for a “great game,” Trump senior adviser Jason Miller told the Washington Examiner.
