Shafer is charged with eight counts, including a violation of RICO, for his involvement in attempting to overturn the results of the 2020 presidential election in Georgia. He is alleged to have worked to put forward an unofficial slate of electors, or “fake electors,” after the election.

Latham is charged with 11 counts, also including a violation of RICO. She is alleged to have authorized Trump-linked people to examine Coffee County voting systems in an effort to find evidence of election fraud.

Last week, Fulton County District Attorney Fani Willis handed down an indictment of Trump, along with 18 others. The case is the fourth in which Trump has been indicted. Trump was charged with 13 counts.

The former president’s bond was set at $200,000 on Monday. Afterward, Trump announced he would surrender himself to the jail on Thursday.
