The United States Coast Guard and Mexican Navy are searching for three missing sailors who have not been seen in almost two weeks.

The three sailors, Kerry O’Brien, Frank O’Brien, and William Gross, were aboard the 44-foot La Fitte ship called Ocean Bound, when they reportedly left Mazatlán, Mexico and were making their way to San Diego, California. The sailors had planned to stop in Cabo San Lucas on April 6 for provisions and to report in before continuing to San Diego, but as of Friday, there is no record of them arriving in Cabo San Lucas or a report in of their location, according to an announcement from the Coast Guard

Search and rescue coordinators have contacted marinas throughout Baja, Mexico, with negative sightings of the ship. Additionally, urgent marine information broadcasts have been issued over very high frequency radio, which are requesting mariners to keep their eyes open for both the missing sailors and the vessel.

Anyone with information on the whereabouts of the sailors and/or the Ocean Bound ship should contact the U.S. Coast Guard search and rescue coordination center at 510-437-3701.

Authorities said people should also check social media for the latest updates on this missing persons search.
