Democratic vice presidential nominee Gov. Tim Walz (D-MN) and Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-N.Y) will play Madden NFL together on the popular live-streaming platform Twitch on Sunday.
The Harris campaign previously live-streamed a Walz rally on Twitch alongside live play of the game World of Warcraft. Ocasio-Cortez has previously streamed on Twitch, with her first appearance on the platform in 2020, which was one of the platform’s most-watched events at that time.

The pair will use the event to appeal to young men ahead of the Nov. 5 general election.
Among young voters who say they will vote in the presidential election in November, Harris leads former President Donald Trump 56%-36%, a 20-point advantage, according to a recent NBC News poll. But there is a gender gap, with Harris having just a 2-point lead over the former president with young men.
Even with the slight edge, there is concern within the party about courting young men, as Democrats have polled better among the demographic in previous elections.

Some of the Harris campaign’s strategy to court the support of young men has centered on a series of ads on the sports gambling platform DraftKings, Yahoo Sports, and on websites like Imagine Games Network (ING) and Fandom, all of which are platforms with predominantly male audiences.
Sunday’s stream will start at 3 p.m. ET on Ocasio Cortez’s Twitch channel, with Walz joining as a guest. It will also be co-streamed on Kamala Harris’s Twitch channel.
