President Joe Biden mistakenly referred to Vice President Kamala Harris as a “great president” on Monday.
During an event celebrating Diwali, Biden delivered remarks on the holiday. At one point, he recognized Harris’s recent birthday.
“Happy birthday to a great president,” he said.

The president also joked that Harris “turned 30” on her Oct. 20 birthday. The vice president actually turned 58 years old.
Recently, a gaffe-prone Biden made headlines when he appeared to search for a deceased congresswoman during a White House event.
“Jackie, are you here?” Biden asked during the White House Conference on Hunger, Nutrition, and Health last month. “Where’s Jackie?” Press secretary Karine-Jean Pierre later confirmed that he was indeed searching for the late Rep. Jackie Walorski, who died in a car crash over the summer.
