Gov. Ron DeSantis (R-FL) appears unfazed by former President Donald Trump’s attempts to brand him with a nickname.

“You can call me whatever you want,” DeSantis laughingly told Piers Morgan during a preview clip from an upcoming interview. “Just as long as you also call me a ‘winner.'”

Still, the governor and possible GOP presidential challenger said he prefers “Ron DeSanctimonious” over “Meatball Ron” when it comes to the nicknames offered by the former president.

“Well … I don’t know how to spell ‘DeSanctimonious,'” he said.

“I don’t really know what it means, but I kind of like it. It’s long. It’s got a lot of vowels. So we’ll go with that.”

Morgan appeared to admit that “DeSanctimonious” seemed the better choice.

“Even he dropped ‘Meatball Ron,'” the host said, referring to Trump.
