Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis has sent illegal immigrants from his state to Martha’s Vineyard.
At a news conference Thursday, he had a message for President Joe Biden and the Democrats:
“We are not a sanctuary state, and it’s better to go to a sanctuary jurisdiction, and yes, we will help facilitate that transport for you to go to greener pastures,” DeSantis said.

“Biden would fly people in the middle of the night, dump them all across this country. There was no warning on any of this,” he added. “And all those people in DC and New York were beating their chest when Trump was president saying they were so proud to be sanctuary jurisdictions, saying how bad it was to have a secure border.”

In June, DeSantis announced the creation of a “strike force” made up of local and state law enforcement to block unauthorized late-night flights of illegal immigrants that were planned by the Biden administration. The force also deals with human smuggling and illegal weapons being transported through Florida.
He also called out the hypocrisy of democratic leaders complaining about people coming over the border being sent to their so-called ‘sanctuary’ cities and states.
“The minute even a small fraction of what those border towns deal with every day is brought to their front door, they all of a sudden go berserk. And they’re so upset that this is happening. And it just shows you their virtue signaling is a fraud,” DeSantis said.
