The Washington Examiner got an exclusive interview with Republican presidential candidate Larry Elder. He spoke about his former run for California governor during Democratic Gov. Gavin Newsom’s recall.

Elder said Newsom does not have a chance in the 2024 Presidential election because black women in America want Vice President Kamala Harris, should Biden never make it to the primaries.

“People don’t realize what a loon this guy is!” Elder said of his former political opponent. The Washington Examiner asked Larry Elder how he thinks he would do against Newsom in a potential 2024 matchup, or how he would fare against any Newsom-endorsed candidate on the national stage.

“I think most Americans have no idea of how left-wing this guy is,” Elder said of the California governor. “Once they do, they’ll run from him like he’s got the plague.”

Newsom publicly seems to be supporting President Joe Biden, but he behaves as if he is also running his own presidential campaign. Newsom has run hit ads against Gov. Ron DeSantis (R-FL) in Florida and requested a debate with the Republican governor.

“Of course, he wants to run for president,” Elder said. “He knows, however, he can’t dropkick Joe Biden. If Kamala Harris is not the party nominee, in the event Joe Biden cannot make it, black women will be furious if they perceive her to be kicked aside in favor of some white person like Mayor Pete or Gavin Newsom.”

“Sixty percent of the primary voters are black, most of those are black females, and they love them some Kamala Harris,” Elder said.

Elder warns Kamala’s famous cackle is a point of contention for black female voters.

“They feel it’s both sexist and racist for us to laugh at Kamala Harris’s so-called cackle,” Elder said. “They feel Joe Biden has given her thankless tasks, like finding the root causes of illegal immigration.”

If Harris does not win the nomination, Elder says voters will never forgive the Democratic National Committee.

“If she’s not the party nominee, they’ll be angry. Not so angry they vote Republican, please!” Elder exclaimed. “But they won’t vote at all, thereby almost assuring whoever it is we nominate, he or she will win in November 2024.”

Elder says the Democratic Party does not want to take that risk, which is keeping Gavin Newsom from running in 2024.
