Former President Donald Trump is expected to be arraigned at a New York courthouse in Manhattan on Tuesday. He is facing charges related to his role in a “hush money” payment to porn star Stormy Daniels.
Trump arrived in New York on Monday and is facing charges of business fraud stemming from the payment. They include at least one felony charge, but the full list of charges is expected to be unsealed after the arraignment.

Trump is expected to plead “not guilty.” He has maintained his innocence throughout the legal saga, and he has rejected Daniels’s claim of being paid to keep quiet in 2016.

The former president is scheduled to return to Mar-a-Lago after his court appearance. He is expected to give a speech at the resort Tuesday night. Trump is the first U.S. president to be indicted.
The case is being overseen by state Supreme Court Justice Juan Merchan, who presided over a trial of the Trump Organization and former Chief Financial Officer Allen Weisselberg. The defendants in that case were found guilty of 17 counts of tax fraud and falsifying business records.
