The Maine Department of Public Safety will give an update at Lewiston City Hall Friday morning as authorities continue to search for the suspect of a mass shooting on Wednesday evening. The tragedy marks the deadliest mass shooting of 2023.
A manhunt has been underway for days for Robert Card, the suspect in the Lewiston mass shooting that left 18 dead and 13 injured, according to authorities.

An arrest warrant was issued for 40-year-old Card, charging him with eight counts of murder, which officials said will rise, following shootings at the two locations: Schemengees Bar and Grille and Sparetime Recreation, a bowling alley.

Card is still at large, and shelter-in-place orders have been issued for Lewiston, Lisbon, and Bowdoin in Maine. The press conference will start at 10 a.m.
