Rep. Tim Ryan (D-OH) and Republican J.D. Vance are set to face off in their first, and so far only, scheduled debate on Monday as the two candidates seek to make headway in the tightly contested Senate race that could determine which party takes control of Congress in November.

Ohio, once a key swing state, has become increasingly Republican over the last few years. However, Ryan’s polling numbers have remained strong against his Trump-backed opponent, and the race has been deemed competitive by several election forecasters.

The one-hour debate is expected to bring in 5 million viewers across Ohio, and it will be aired across five television stations operated by Nexstar, which is hosting the debate. It is scheduled to begin at 7 p.m.
