Former President Donald Trump is speaking in Davenport, Iowa, on Monday, where he is expected to discuss his proposed education policies.
Monday’s event will be his first campaign visit to the Hawkeye State of the 2024 cycle after both of his declared rivals, former Gov. Nikki Haley (R-SC) and entrepreneur and author Vivek Ramaswamy, have made various stops in Iowa.

Gov. Ron DeSantis (R-FL), who is seen as Trump’s chief rival for the GOP nomination, also recently spoke in Iowa, adding further fuel to rumors he will launch a 2024 bid.

Trump and DeSantis have both led the rest of the GOP field by a wide margin in nearly all polls and have solidified themselves as early front-runners. Trump announced his third consecutive bid for president in November 2022, but he has only started doing campaign speeches in recent months.
Trump is scheduled to speak at 7:15 p.m. EST.
