House Minority Leader Kevin McCarthy (R-CA) revealed Thursday on Fox News the only occasion in which President Joe Biden “actually took my call” and added that calls on pressing current issues have fallen on deaf ears in the White House.

Biden only took McCarthy’s call during the tumultuous Afghanistan withdrawal, he told Bill Hemmer and Dana Perino on America’s Newsroom.

“I called the basic public switchboard to ask to talk to the president. The White House then called to wonder — was it really me calling?” he said. “That was the one time the president actually took my call.”

He explained that the president has been unwilling to work with Republicans in the legislative branch. According to McCarthy, calls regarding issues such as Title 42 and the baby formula crisis have gone unanswered.

McCarthy’s office did not respond to the Washington Examiner’s request for comment.
