The 60-second ad will be used for both television and digital advertisement.

Michael later describes meeting with the governor following her son’s death in a car crash.

“To see the compassion in his eyes — and I saw the concern — he wanted to make sure other lives were protected,” she says.

“There’s no greater leader than Gov. DeSantis because he didn’t just listen. He put action behind it,” Michael continues.

“‘My child was killed by someone who should not have been here.’ We released a new ad today to tell the story of a mother who tragically lost her son as a result of illegal immigration. This tragedy is a result of open border policies & why @RonDeSantisFL fights to keep FL safe,” first lady Casey DeSantis tweeted alongside the ad.

This comes after Ron DeSantis sent 50 illegal immigrants to Martha’s Vineyard, Massachusetts, by plane last week. Despite criticism, he isn’t planning on stopping. “The legislature gave me $12 million. We’re going to spend every penny of that to make sure that we are protecting the people of the state of Florida,” he said last week. “This way, these sanctuary jurisdictions can put their money where their mouth is.”

The wealthy island of Martha’s Vineyard was unable to deal with the influx of 50 immigrants for more than a couple of days, with the immigrants quickly being bused out to a military base.
