New York Jets fans showed no love to Zach Wilson Thursday, booing the quarterback during and after the team’s 19-3 loss to the Jacksonville Jaguars.

Wilson was booed throughout the game before he was eventually pulled from the game in the third quarter and replaced by Chris Streveler.

After the game, Wilson said he understands the treatment he received at the hands of the Jets faithful.

“I don’t blame them,” Wilson said. “We have a passionate fan base, and they’re here to watch us score touchdowns.”

“We’re not scoring touchdowns, we’re not getting first downs, we’re not moving the ball, and obviously, we can’t throw the ball. Of course they’re going to be frustrated.”

He threw for 92 yards before he was replaced and looked run-down as the Jets lost their fourth consecutive game.

“I just felt like I didn’t have any rhythm out there,” the Jets quarterback said.

“I was just trying to find some confidence out there on the field, just find something to get us going — a little spark. I couldn’t get anything there.”

Thursday’s performance is not Wilson’s last, according to Jets Head Coach Robert Saleh.

“We haven’t seen the last of [Wilson]. But right now, he’s just got to focus on finding ways to get better, and we’ve got to find ways to help him,” he said.

“It’s not just him, it’s collective, and we’ve all got to find ways to get better.”
