The Megyn Kelly Show praised Riley Gaines for her courage in fighting against those seeking to push transgender ideologies.

“I’m sure she knew there’d be some pushback, but she’s brave, this gal,” Kelly said, referencing how Gaines was whisked to safety after being assaulted at San Francisco State University during a Turning Point USA speaking event last week. “For her to do this is very brave. And maybe you expect you’re going to get some shouting, some protesting. You don’t expect you’re going to be physically assaulted by some trans activist.”

“It’s infuriating, and it makes me want, as you always say, to fight,” Kelly said to her guest Dennis Prager. “I mean not just to comment on these cases, but to fight, to actively fight these lunatics.”

Prager responded, calling her a “hero.”

“Good cannot be accomplished without courage. And it is the rarest of the human traits, courage. There are many nice people. There are many kind people. There are many honest people. There are extremely few courageous people,” Prager said. “But good is not dependent upon people being nice, as nice as that is. It depends on people being courageous.”

Conservative commenter Ian Haworth shared how he, too, has faced backlash from protesters while speaking at a recent Turning Points USA event.

“My argument: free speech is being destroyed on college campuses,” Haworth tweeted. “And like clockwork, some deranged protesters showed up and used the heckler’s veto to try and shut down the event.”

Regarding specific pushback against transgender rights, Haworth told Kelly that “they simply don’t like any idea that goes against theirs.”

“I think it was quite clear that speech wasn’t going to go ahead in that room,” Haworth added. “And so we were forced to go to a different room under police escort and police protection during the second event, which was just ridiculous this has to happen on a college campus in the United States. It’s just absurd.”
