Rep. George Santos (R-NY) reportedly told donors he produced a Broadway show while campaigning in 2021. The claim adds to a long list of fabrications by the freshman lawmaker.

The show, which ran from 2011 to 2014, was riddled with cast injuries from stunts and was generally poorly received. Santos is not listed as a producer on any of the show’s production listings.

The latest unearthed embellishment from Santos comes amid developments that the embattled congressman has also falsely claimed he is Jewish, that he had family members who died in the Holocaust and 9/11, and that he worked for Citigroup and Goldman Sachs.
