There are no visitor logs kept of people who come to President Joe Biden‘s Delaware home, the location where two of three batches of classified documents were found.

White House counsel said on Sunday that since becoming president, Biden has not maintained records of those who have visited his residence, White House spokesman Ian Sams said to the Associated Press.

“Like every president in decades of modern history, his personal residence is personal,” Sams said. “But upon taking office, President Biden restored the norm and tradition of keeping White House visitors logs, including publishing them regularly, after the previous administration ended them.”

The discovery of the documents, with the third batch being found at the Penn Biden Center in November 2022, was revealed in January of this year, causing both Republicans and Democrats to express their frustration at the potential breach of national security.

Rep. James Comer (R-KY) sent a letter to Ron Klain, White House chief of staff, Sunday, requesting visitor logs from the home dating from Jan. 20, 2021, to the present day to be delivered no later than Jan. 30.

“It is troubling that classified documents have been improperly stored at the home of President Joe Biden for at least six years, raising questions about who may have reviewed or had access to classified information,” Comer wrote.

KEVIN MCCARTHY SAYS BIDEN DOCUMENTS DISCOVERY HIGHLIGHTS ‘HYPOCRISY’ IN GOVERNMENT

U.S. Secret Service spokesman Anthony Guglielmi told the Associated Press that while the Secret Service provides security at the president’s private home, it does not maintain visitor logs. The Washington Examiner has reached out to Guglielmi for comment on the visitor logs and process of screening visitors.

“We don’t independently maintain our own visitor logs because it’s a private residence,” Guglielmi said, adding that the agency will screen visitors but not maintain records of the checks.

Several Republicans have called the response to Biden’s classified documents discovery “hypocrisy” after the FBI raided former President Donald Trump’s Mar-a-Lago home and found over 300 classified documents.

However, Democrats are saying the situations differ based on intent. While the Biden administration states that it has been “cooperating fully” with the Justice Department, the Trump administration had stated that it would not release visitor logs out of “grave national security risks and privacy concerns of the hundreds of thousands of visitors annually,” per the Associated Press.
