Taco Bell is offering free tacos as a result of Philadelphia Phillies’ Kyle Schwarber stealing a base during the first game of the World Series.
Schwarber stole second base despite Houston Astros second baseman Jose Altuve’s best efforts in the seventh inning Friday. The Phillies would go on to win the game 6 to 5.
As a result, anyone with the Taco Bell app can receive a choice between a hard shell, soft shell, or Dorito’s Loco’s taco for free. This is the latest continuation of the restaurant’s promotional program during the World Series.

“I will buy America tacos if Kyle Schwarber gets tonight’s first stolen base,” sports podcaster Rob Bradford tweeted during the game.
“Thanks Rob, but this one’s on us,” Taco Bell responded on Twitter.
“We all knew Kyle Schwarber would gift us free tacos,” the Philadelphia Phillies tweeted afterward.
