Sen. Tim Scott (R-SC) said he plans to “share words of wisdom and guidance” while addressing the 2024 graduates of Liberty University as the school’s commencement ceremony keynote speaker.
“My belief in Christ and the power of education are at the core of so much of my work,” Scott said of the invitation to speak at the Christian university.
“I am honored to be able to share words of wisdom and guidance for the future as the graduates and their families celebrate this important milestone,” Scott added.
Liberty University, located in Lynchburg, Virginia, is set to confer more than 29,000 degrees this coming weekend. The main commencement ceremony will be held Friday, May 10 at the school’s Williams Stadium.
