The View mocked the impeachment investigation into President Joe Biden Friday.

The hosts were responding to news that FBI informant Alexander Smirnov, 43, was indicted on making false statements to federal authorities. Smirnov was cited by several leaders among House Republicans as a key witness to the allegations that the president has received bribes. Joy Behar suggested this indictment will “completely blow their case,” while blasting the notion that the House is pursuing an impeachment anyway.

“So they can waste more of my tax money? No thank you, no thank you,” Sunny Hostin said in response. “All of us should be outraged by this because our taxpayer dollars are paying for this fake impeachment inquiry.”

“I said from day one they are trying to weaponize a father’s love against this president,” Ana Navarro said. “They are trying to weaponize Hunter Biden against him. There is zero, zero evidence that Joe Biden has committed any crime or done anything illegal.”

Smirnov developed contact with officials within Burisma, the Ukrainian energy company that hired Hunter Biden, in 2017 after Joe Biden had left office. The FBI hired him as an informant in 2010.

As a result of the indictment, Smirnov was arrested at Harry Reid International Airport in Las Vegas following a trip overseas and appeared before a federal court on Thursday.
