The Democratic National Committee will reportedly be reimbursing the federal government for first lady Jill Biden‘s first-class flights between Wilmington, Delaware, and Paris to attend Hunter Biden‘s trial.

The Daily Mail reported that the first lady’s airfare between the United States and France, where she was with President Joe Biden to commemorate the 80th anniversary of D-Day, will be reimbursed by the DNC, but that many other expenses will likely fall on taxpayers. A spokesperson for the first lady’s office told the outlet in a statement that the party would repay the government for the plane tickets.

“In accordance with relevant regulations utilized across administrations, the government is reimbursed the value of a first-class fare for these flights to Wilmington and back to Paris,” the spokesperson said.

A spokesperson for the Democratic National Committee confirmed to CBS News it would cover the “first class travel of the first lady.”

The Washington Examiner reached out to the first lady’s office and the DNC for comment.

The Daily Mail, citing the National Taxpayers Union Foundation, estimated Jill Biden’s flight costs were roughly $345,400. The DNC receives its funding from donors.

Hunter Biden was found guilty of all three charges related to a 2018 gun purchase on Tuesday. Jill Biden was in Wilmington when her stepson was found guilty, while Joe Biden was in Washington.
