President Joe Biden‘s move on Tuesday to grant amnesty to 500,000 illegal migrants and possibly 600,000 more suggests it is likely some criminals will avoid deportation, according to new data from the House Homeland Security Committee.

The panel said on Tuesday that the president’s “open borders” agenda has helped grow the list of criminal illegal immigrants set free in the country to over 617,000.

“Criminal illegal aliens are increasingly crossing the border, and under this administration, they are less likely to be removed. There are more than 600,000 non-detained criminal illegal aliens on the Non-Detained Docket today, committing crimes like assault, rape, and murder,” the fact sheet said.

“Many on the Left are desperately trying to downplay the public safety threats posed by the Biden administration’s unlawful open-borders agenda. However, the facts clearly show that increasing reports of criminal activity by illegal aliens are a direct consequence of these policies,” it added.

The White House has been scrambling to show it is in control of the border, but critics believe Biden’s executive move on Tuesday will only increase illegal border crossings by those eager to get in line for amnesty.

Officials have recently noticed a switch from mostly Latin Americans crossing the border to those from many other countries in Africa and the Middle East. Several alleged terrorists who crossed in illegally were recently nabbed and deported.

The data drop by the committee, chaired by Rep. Mark Green (R-TN), was meant to highlight the lack of vetting the administration has done of those allowed to enter the country to roam freely until they get a court hearing, sometimes years later.

It was also meant to help Republicans talk about the problem of migrant crime, which has recently made headlines with the killings of Laken Riley, Kayla Hamilton, and Rachel Morin.

The report included links to federal programs aimed at giving illegal immigrants a pass into the country.

In addition to providing some details on the millions detained they freed at the border under Biden, the report noted that the government has no idea about the backgrounds of the thousands of “gotaways” who have entered the United States.

“Approximately 2 million known and unknown gotaways have crossed without being apprehended. For this population, which exceeds the size of the state of Nebraska, law enforcement has no idea of their identity, criminal background, or intentions. Among them are an unknown number of criminals, gang members, or other threats, as those seeking to avoid apprehension ‘pay premium rates’ for the ‘privilege,’” the fact sheet said.
