A substance check briefly interrupted Major League Baseball‘s Game 3 of the National League Wild Card series at Citi Field on Sunday.

New York Mets manager Buck Showalter requested umpires examine San Diego Padres pitcher Joe Musgrove’s shiny ears, as well as his hand, glove and hat, at the start of the sixth inning, according to ESPN.

However, the umpires did not appear to find anything of concern, and they let Musgrove continue pitching.

Musgrove had a dominant evening, allowing only one hit and one walk in seven innings, and the Padres ended up winning 6-0.
