Ye, the rapper and fashion designer formerly known as Kanye West, announced plans to have dinner with former President Donald Trump.
The announcement comes in the wake of Ye’s supposed agreement to purchase the social media platform Parler.

Ye’s declaration that he would acquire Parler comes after he was locked out of his Twitter account following a post that many are calling antisemitic.
Parler markets itself as a “free speech platform,” and Ye has indicated that he would like to see the 45th president join the conservative-leaning site.
Under Ye, the platform would be for those “bullied by the thought police” and restricted by larger social media giants, he said.
The artist said he is “willing to put everything at risk because they’ve already taken enough from me for differences of opinion.”
Ye also announced he would join Trump’s Truth Social. The former president’s platform was launched in February, and many online are wary of it.
