Fox is partnering with Kalshi to integrate data from the world’s largest prediction market into the media empire’s digital content, ranging from news to sports.

The Fox-Kalshi partnership will see Fox News Channel, Fox Business Network, Fox Weather, and the Fox One streaming platform air betting forecasts on live television, the companies announced on Tuesday.

While the press release says Kalshi’s prediction market data will be integrated into Fox’s political coverage, it appears certain news stories will be off-limits.

A Kalshi spokesperson said the betting company won’t have Fox air prediction markets on war, terrorism, death, or assassination as that would create “perverse incentives.”

For weeks, the two top prediction markets have faced scrutiny for posting bets on developments regarding the Iran war.

Over the weekend, Polymarket backtracked on letting users bet on the conditions of the two U.S. airmen who were shot down in Iran before being rescued. After Rep. Seth Moulton (D-MA) pointed out the troubling bet over the weekend, Polymarket issued an apology.

“We took this market down immediately as it does not meet our integrity standards,” Polymarket posted on X. “It should not have been posted, and we are investigating how this slipped through our internal safeguards.”

Kalshi also ignited public backlash when it posted a bet on the fate of Iranian Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, who was ultimately killed in the initial joint U.S.-Israel strikes on Iran on Feb. 28. It was later sued for $54 million after it failed to pay users who put money on Khamenei’s ouster. The company invoked a “death carveout” clause as the reason for withholding its payment on the bet.

Fox News won’t be using Kalshi data for its political coverage because the outlet relies on its own election and polling division, according to the New York Post. A Kalshi spokesperson confirmed that it will be the case for now.

The on-air integration started Tuesday morning on Fox & Friends, which showed a real-time Kalshi betting forecast for when NASA will successfully land astronauts on the moon as the Artemis II mission continues.

Tarek Mansour, co-founder and CEO of Kalshi, framed the announcement as a way for Kalshi’s data to complement Fox’s news coverage and polls and keep viewers informed.

“As misinformation grows more common, Kalshi offers accurate, unbiased data to help people better understand what’s going on in the world,” Mansour said.

Tubi Media Group CEO Paul Cheesbrough, who oversees Fox’s extensive portfolio of digital businesses and streaming services, was also optimistic about the sponsorship deal.

“Prediction markets have quickly become an essential data point and a compelling new experience across our live content portfolio,” he added. “By integrating Kalshi’s real-time data into our fast-growing streaming platform FOX One and across FOX News Media’s leading networks, we’re giving audiences both deeper insights and a more engaging way to follow the stories that matter most.”

Fox joins CNN and CNBC in striking a similar agreement with Kalshi that permits the integration of data into their news coverage.
