President Donald Trump is using the new Air Force One plane, gifted by Qatar, for the first time as he travels to North Dakota ahead of America’s 250th birthday.
The inaugural flight means the old Air Force One is retired. Trump wanted the new plane to reflect the nation’s flag more accurately.
Air Force One now has a color scheme featuring red, white, dark blue, and gold, whereas the previous version was predominantly white and baby blue.
Qatar presented the Boeing 747 luxury jet to the United States last year.
TRUMP REVEALS NEW AIR FORCE ONE WILL FLY OVER DC ON JULY 4
When he announced the new Air Force One’s debut last month, Trump revealed the plane would fly directly over Washington on July 4 for the semiquincentennial. That plan appears to remain in effect.
Trump will deliver a speech at the opening of the Theodore Roosevelt Presidential Library in Medora, North Dakota, later Wednesday.
