“When I come out of this, I feel that I will be able to perform and be the Bill Cosby that my audience knows me to be,” he said.

Spears then asked if 2023 may be the right year for a return.

“Yes. Yes, because there’s so much fun to be had in this storytelling that I do,” Cosby replied.

“Years ago, maybe 10 years ago, I found it was better to say it after I write it.”

Andrew Wyatt, Cosby’s representative, confirmed a possible 2023 return, according to a report.

Cosby is “looking at spring/summer to start touring,” according to Wyatt.

In April 2018, the comedian was convicted in Pennsylvania of a criminal sex assault charge and was released in 2021, when the conviction was overturned.

An additional five women alleged Cosby either raped them or coerced them into sexual acts, according to a sexual assault lawsuit filed in New York earlier this month.

Wyatt called the action “frivolous,” the report noted.
