Another unidentified flying object in North America has been shot down, this one over Canada.
Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau stated on Saturday that he ordered the take down of an unidentified object that “violated Canadian airspace.” The North American Aerospace Defense Command shot down the object using a U.S. F-22, according to a statement Trudeau made on social media.

“I spoke with President Biden this afternoon,” Trudeau’s statement read. “Canadian Forces will now recover and analyze the wreckage of the object. Thank you to NORAD for keeping the watch over North America.”

The object was first reported by Global News at around 4:15 p.m. EST Saturday, with NORAD confirming the outlet’s report shortly after.
“While we cannot discuss specifics related to these activities at this time, please note that NORAD conducts sustained, dispersed operations in the defence of North America through one or all three NORAD regions,” said Major Olivier Gallant, a spokesperson for NORAD.
Gallant also said that military aircraft “are currently operating from Alaska and Canada in support of (NORAD) activities.”
The report of the flying object over Canada comes shortly after the United States shot down two objects flying over the U.S., one of which was a Chinese spy balloon. The most recent object shot down was in Alaska on Friday, though it has yet to be confirmed if that was also a Chinese spy balloon.
National Security Council spokesman John Kirby told reporters Friday that President Joe Biden was first made aware of the object’s location overnight, and he ordered the Pentagon to shoot it down as soon as it passed over U.S. territorial waters. When asked why the Biden administration shot the flying object down before it reached the other parts of the U.S., Kirby noted that the size was significantly smaller than the first downed balloon and had “no significant payload.”
A senior U.S. official told Fox News that the “object” had already entered U.S. airspace before it was detected. The unidentified official said that the object was detected on Thursday evening by the U.S. military while it was “over Alaska not far from the northern coast.”

Kirby said military personnel are conducting a salvage operation due to the waters being frozen.
