The 37-year-old ace is playing with the Binghamton Rumble Ponies, a Minor League Baseball team, while recovering from an oblique injury and has given teammates AirPods and expensive meals as gifts, according to Fox Sports.

After defeating the Hartford Yard Goats 8-3 on the road, Scherzer provided his teammates a meal that included lobster, filet mignon, and ribeye at a cost of nearly $7,000, according to the report.

Scherzer alluded to the dinner for his teammates when speaking to the media after the game, saying, “They’re eating well tonight.”

“We walk in and there’s a clubbie just handing out AirPods, saying they’re from Max,” a team source said of the Apple earphones.

“Mad Max” is expected to return to the Mets lineup in a matter of days.
