A pile of candidates is already being tossed around as possible replacements for Katie Zacharia, hours after she was ousted as White House press secretary.
The White House announced Zacharia would “transition” out of the job on Friday, less than one week after she stepped into the role as Karoline Leavitt’s replacement. Zacharia’s departure from Washington comes after she faced intense scrutiny during her short tenure as press secretary for President Donald Trump. Critics mocked Zacharia’s performance during her first and last press conference on Tuesday, and ripped her for describing herself as an attorney, despite having never passed the bar exam.
