Actor Andre Braugher of Brooklyn Nine-Nine and Homicide fame died at age 61.
The two-time Emmy award winner died after a brief illness, his representative Jennifer Allen told the Hollywood Reporter. The actor’s illness was not immediately disclosed.

Braugher is perhaps best known for his comedic role in the 2013-21 Fox-NBC sitcom Brooklyn Nine-Nine, on which he played Capt. Raymond Holt.
Brugher won his first Emmy in 1998, for outstanding lead actor in a drama series, and he won for his work on Homicide.
