Luigi Mangione, 26, has been charged with murder and a number of weapon offenses following his arrest in Altoona, Pennsylvania, on Monday. A McDonald’s employee recognized Mangione as he ate in the fast food restaurant and called 911.
His arrest has been met with mixed reactions. Some have celebrated the targeted shooting of Thompson in the name of healthcare reform.
“This location has rats in the kitchen that will make you sick and your insurance isn’t going to cover it,” one review read.
Other reviews made obvious references to the employee who called police, with further complaints of “rats” and “snitches.”
Google responded to the increase in one-star reviews by removing them because “these reviews violate our policies,” a spokesperson told Reuters. The company’s policy promised to remove “content that has been posted from multiple accounts to manipulate a place’s rating.”

While the crime occurred in New York, Mangione was detained in Pennsylvania, where his next court date is scheduled for Dec. 23.
