The Democratic National Committee is looking to capture the swing state audience at three NFL games on Sunday as seven teams from the majority of the 2024 swing states are set to face each other.
The DNC has invested in flying banners at the Arizona Cardinals-Green Bay Packers game in Wisconsin, the Atlanta Falcons-Carolina Panthers game in North Carolina, and the Cleveland Browns-Philadelphia Eagles game in Pennsylvania. They will also write “Vote Kamala” in the sky over the Pittsburgh Steelers-Las Vegas Raiders game in Nevada.
The banners will read “Sack Trump’s Project 2025! Vote Kamala!,” an agenda which former President Donald Trump has tried to distance himself from but Vice President Kamala Harris and other Democrats use to warn voters that Trump’s presidential agenda would be that of Project 2025. In Philadelphia, the message gets team-specific with “Go Birds! Sack Project 2025. Vote Kamala.” set to fly over Lincoln Financial Field.
“It’s NFL Sunday and fans across the battlegrounds are ready to sack Donald Trump’s Project 2025 playbook once and for all,” DNC deputy communications director Abhi Rahman said in a statement to NBC News.
The DNC has dabbled in flying banners over sporting events in this election so far. This Wednesday, a day before Trump was scheduled to visit Detroit, the DNC flew a banner over the Detroit Tigers home playoff game, calling Trump an “anti-union scab.” At other MLB games, the DNC flew banners reading, “Don’t strike out w/Trump! Go to bat 4 Harris!”
This will be their first time investing in NFL games in such a flyover capacity. Since 1972, Gallup has found that football is the country’s favorite sport to watch, with 41% of adults saying it is their top sport to watch.

“That’s why the DNC is meeting voters where they are, with innovative skywriting and plane banners that have a simple message: the most important contest is still to come in November, and America is ready to sack Trump’s Project 2025 agenda, win the game, and cast their vote for Kamala Harris,” Rahman said.
Harris’s campaign is also investing in ad space in the Michigan market in the coming days with a new ad focused on Trump’s recent comments that “our whole country will end up being like Detroit if she’s your president.” The new “Like Detroit” ad will play in Michigan markets during the Detroit Tigers game on Saturday and the Lions game on Sunday.
