Rep. Elise Stefanik (R-NY) detailed the New York City rally she will attend with former President Donald Trump on Sunday, calling it “a real honor” to join him in her home state.

The rally at Madison Square Garden comes as the Republican Party is making a last-minute push to draw out “low-propensity voters,” as the 2024 presidential election will be held next Tuesday. Stefanik joining Trump at Sunday’s rally, along with House Speaker Mike Johnson (R-LA) and Rep. Steve Scalise (R-LA), is part of a plan to further the party’s footprint within the state of New York.

“It’s a real honor; this is something that the president has talked about for years with everyone,” Stefanik, a national chairwoman of Women for Trump, said on Fox News’s Fox and Friends Sunday. “This is iconic, not only for President Trump, but for the entire Trump family. We are so excited, and Trump had a vision for growing the Republican Party in New York, and as you all remember, it was New York that flipped those five seats.”

She continued, “He is committed to continue growing this movement, and it’s America first; you have people who are coming all across the country. Kamala Harris could never fill Madison Square Garden; this sold out for three hours when President Trump announced this, so it will be an exciting historic evening, and I’m honored to be there for it.”

Stefanik also assessed the lack of energy when it comes to Vice President Kamala Harris’s campaign and its attempt to reach out to male voters. This included former first lady Michelle Obama telling voters to ask themselves, “What side of history do you want to be on?” before voting. The New York congresswoman argued Harris is part of “a losing campaign” that contrasts with the “energy and enthusiasm” Trump has in his campaign.

With just over a week left before the election, Stefanik and other Republicans are seeking to encourage voters to get to the polls in the last remaining days of the 2024 election cycle, with Stefanik herself knocking on doors in Bucks County, Pennsylvania as part of this effort. She also claimed Harris’s campaign has not “energized” the voting bloc that previously supported then-presidential candidate Joe Biden in the 2020 election.

Stefanik has touted herself as the first member of Congress to endorse Trump’s presidential bid, and was also rumored to be a vice presidential candidate before Sen. J.D. Vance’s selection for the role. She has also pushed for female voters to support the former president, as they “never had it better” under his leadership.

Trump will be hitting the campaign trail throughout the last few days of the 2024 election cycle, including a rally in Green Bay, Wisconsin with former NFL quarterback Brett Favre. Trump will also join talk show host Tucker Carlson in Glendale, Arizona for a live discussion on Thursday, with the event’s ticket sales being donated to hurricane relief.
